to our church and community, and to help strengthen others in their faith.

Our Focus:  The focus of our men's group is discipling men and serving our community.

Our Gatherings: The STORM gathers the 1st Saturdays at 8:00am for our monthly Breakfast and Bible Discussion group.  We enjoy breakfast, a bit of table talk and fellowship. During our meal we discuss various items of “business” such as opportunities to serve our community.

We will be viewing a 30-35 minute video by Patrick Morley, from Man In The Mirror ministries. Our series for the next few months will be ManAlive!, focusing our energy and living our passion for Jesus Christ.

We conclude our gatherings with a brief discussion on the video and the Bible lessons presented in the teaching. We then dismiss in prayer.

Our Committment:

We are committed to:
1)  Calling men together regularly                            
2)  Discipling other men to be followers of Jesus Christ         
3)  Praying together when we gather                   
4)  Finding service projects that men can join together in serving Christ,
by serving others.

Our vision is that area men will begin to see the importance of meeting together as men, as we are grappling with and growing in our faith.  We also desire that men from other churches, will attend, get fired up about men's ministry and will go home with helpful resources to begin meaningful men's ministry at their own churches.

There is no set cost for these meetings. We will offer everything for no set cost. However, any donations for food and/or giveaway resources would be appreciated.

  • Great turnout for the STORM.  Breakfast and table talk discussions helped men break the ice and begin thinking through the topic for the morning.
  • Video was right on target for what we face as men with a "raw and restless energy" needing to be recovered and redirected.
  • We shared 3 potential community service projects for the upcoming months.
  • One answer to prayer: men's ministry leadership materials were made available for men from other churches to get fired up, and to go back and prayerfully start up their own church's men's ministry. Praise the Lord.
  • STORM business cards were also distributed with the challenge to give a card to another man as invitation for next month's mtg on March 3, 8:00am.
  • Other web resource page.  I have spent much time surfing the internet for free or nearly free resources.  Our Resource Link has many internet resources to check out for other men's studies, children's ministries, women's ministries, or nearly anything you might need.
