ReleaseTime Review
Fall 2012
Praise the Lord
for a
GREAT start to the 2011-2012 year.
With the end
of Summer fun, comes
the beginning of another year of trusting God and teaching the children
He
brings to our classes.
A couple
things have stood out to me this past year, for which we ask your
prayers. First is the lack of knowledge of
the most
basic Bible Truth and stories. In at least one of our classes last
year, one
child did not know who Adam and Ever were and another had never heard
of Noah
and the Ark.

Important: Saegertown Release Time reaches
approximately 1/3 of Saegertown
Elementary School. Your partnership is of great importance in reaching
our
mission field for Christ.
|
This may not characterize
the overall student population, but
does indicate that God is bringing us children who need to learn God’s
Word. On
the other hand, there are young people in some of these classes who are
very
knowledgeable of Scripture. These young
people are an encouragement to both other students, as well as to their
teachers, and they confirm that children can and do benefit from these
Release
Time classes.
The second thing that is troubling is that
attendance in RT classes
drops as each grade goes higher. So much so, that in our Jr and Sr High
RT
classes, “Break-A-Way”, the attendance
drops to 3-4 for the entire Jr and
Sr High RT attendance.
Thank you for all you do! Thank you for your faithful donations and
financial
gifts. And thank you for your faithful prayers, which is the most
important of
all!!
As usual, we want
you to be informed on how all donations are used. Our typical
expenses are Bibles, bus
transportation, teaching materials and a small stipend for our
teachers, as
funds are available. We also host an end-of-the-year
skating party
for the students.

Testimony
From a parent
Recently a parent called me, inquiring about
Release Time’s doctrinal statement. I told her that I
believe she was the very first parent that had ever asked me anything
about our
statement of faith. Personally, as a
Pastor I was thrilled to know that someone actually cared enough to
ask. And of
course, after all that, I was also pleased that we agreed on our
beliefs!
Her words were: “Thank
you very much for the information and
taking the time to talk to me. I, too, think it is very sad that more
parents have
not inquired into what type of faith-based program is being offered to
their
kids. We have looked over the statement
and after our discussion, my husband and I have decided to send [our
children]
to Release Time. The added
support to
grow in Christ is greatly appreciated. Thank you for all you do.”
Our
statement of
faith is our Release Time’s Truth commitment to our students.
As a result
