From Pastor Jeff

Greetings Dear Friends!

With nearly half of 2007 behind us, I am amazed how God has both preserved and prepared our church for such a time as we are facing today.  It seems the whole world is focused on wars, political agendas, power schemes, the global environment and religious “tolerance”.  So many things threaten to take our focus off the calling of God for the believing Christian.

GoodNews   God has clearly orchestrated things in a way that has brought us together for purposes that only He fully knows.  And yet, as we look forward, pursuing God’s will and direction for our lives, I believe that the fields are ripe and ready for harvest, and that all the good things God has planned for us, are still available for us to experience!  I know there are many others within our congregation who feel the same and are excited with the prospect before us.

God has placed our church structure where it is for a purpose.  God has placed each of us with our families where we are for a purpose.  God has placed each of us in an employment for a very specific purpose—to work His fields!  We have been sprinkled around the Saegertown and surrounding areas in ways that allow us to affect more of our mission field.  I believe God wants us to go forward, trusting Him to work through us in our outreach efforts.  I also believe we must be very intentional and very assertive in this endeavor.

As we work together to reach our mission field, we do so with the confidence that we are being obedient to God and bringing glory to Him.  And I believe we are also benefiting our communities, as we seek to be used of God to rescue the perishing.

As you read this, plans are under weigh for a great celebration of God’s faithfulness over the last 25 years, as well for His plans for our future.  We’d love as many of our old friends and previous members and attenders to participate in this celebration with us.

Take note of activities and initiatives that are in the works for the months ahead.  Some are ready. Some are still in the planning stages. Please continue praying for our planning and implementation of these ministries to reach the lost and develop deeply devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.

We look forward to seeing you and your family, September 1 & 2 for a great time of remembering and great rejoicing!

God's blessings in Christ,
Pastor Jeff
